Producing a more substantial piece of writing or research can be a great way to get in front of your clients. But if you’ve never tackled a project like this before, just knowing where to start can be overwhelming.

Finding the time just to get the words down on the page can be challenging enough. Often the material you are working with is dense academic or legal information and you will need to rewrite it for a broader audience.

And then there’s the editing, revising, referencing proofreading, design and layout.

Ghostwriting

You want your work to sound like you, but you just don’t have the time to commit to writing – between client work, business development, business admin and finding time for the rest of your life. There is a solution. I often work with legal and medico-legal experts to produce articles for their clients.

I can work from their notes, or interview them about the issues they are seeing and why these are important. Then I’ll suggest a way of framing the story and do some additional research or fact-checking if necessary. I will draft the article for them to review and we will revise it until they’re happy to put their name to it.
